The Anglican Archbishop of Ondo Province, Most Reverend Simeon Borokini has called on Federal and State Governments to urgently provide incentives and place priority on Agriculture to address the current food scarcity and hunger in the country..
Addressing the congregation during the service to mark the end of this year’s Abuja Diocesan Synod at Saint Philips Anglican Church Gwarinpa, Most Reverend Borokini said the only solution to the current high cost of food in the country was for all Nigerians to return to the farm.
He argued that most of the Youths have lost interest in Agricultural activities due to lack of motivation and incentives to encourage them to return to the farm.
He also stressed that government should address insecurity and bring lasting solution to farmers and herders clashes.

He believes that if government could address these challenges, food and raw materials would be available, and more jobs will be created in the country.
In his Closing remarks, Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba passionately appealed to Nigerians not to allow the present economic situation to affect their family system.
He also urged wealthy individuals and religious organizations to always support families that are facing challenges.
According to him, with renewed commitment to God and love for mankind, every home facing challenges will see the hand of God.
Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba encouraged members of the Church to love their neighbors and be responsible citizens.
