3 Nigerian Dialects To Feature In 2025 Arafat Broadcast

The Saudi government has announced that the Arafat sermon will be translated into 34 languages and broadcast live.

This initiative allows pilgrims and listeners worldwide to hear the sermon in their native language.

Kapital FM gathered that three Nigerian dialects, including Hausa, Fulani, and Yoruba made the list of the 34 languages.

According to the Saudi government, Hajj Khutbah 1446 will be translated live into these 34 languages on Thursday, 9 Dhul Hijjah 1446, 5th of June, 2025.

Launched in 2018, the project initially offered translations in five languages.

In 2024, it recorded a remarkable growth to 50 languages in less than a decade that reflects the Kingdom’s dedication to spreading the message of moderation and Islamic values globally.
