House Of Reps Approves N1.8trn 2025 Budget For FCT

The House of Representatives has approved a ₦1.814 trillion budget for the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s 2025 fiscal year.

The budget includes ₦150.35 billion for personnel costs, ₦352.03 billion for overhead costs, and ₦1.31 trillion for capital expenditure.

This represents a ₦30.2 billion increase from the initial proposal of ₦1.783 trillion submitted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The budget’s approval is expected to boost the FCT’s development projects and operational efficiency.

The House Committee on FCT, l Chaired by Mukhtar Betara, presented the report that led to the budget’s approval.

According to Betata, the funds will cater to the FCT’s operations and development needs from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
