‎President Bola Tinubu has forwarded One trillion four hundred and eighty one Billion Naira 2025 Rivers Budget Proposal to the House of Representatives.

In the letter read on the floor of the house by the Speaker House of Representatives, Dr Abbas Tajudeen, the President said his action was in line with the Provisions of the Constitution.

‎The President had in March declared a state of emergency in the state affecting the governor, his deputy, and the state house of assembly.
