Three Labour Party members of the House of Representatives, have dismissed their purported suspension from the party by former National Chairman Julius Abure.
The Former Chairman who was ousted by a recent Supreme Court judgment, announced the suspension of Afam Victor Ogene, leader of the labour Party Caucus, Seyi Sowunmi Deputy Leader and Amobi Ogah, a prominent member of the Caucus.
Abure also announced the suspension of Abia State Governor Alex Otto, Senator Ireti Kingibe and Senator Darlington Nwokocha.
In a joint statement in Abuja, the Lawmakers described the suspension as “laughable” and am desperate attempt by Abure to cling to power after being ousted by a recent Supreme Court judgment.
The lawmakers accused Abure of orchestrating the party’s disintegration to appease external forces driving his actions instead of working to improve the fortunes of the party.
