3 PDP Lawmakers From Katsina Defect To APC

Three lawmakers from Katsina State in the House of Representatives have defected from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The lawmakers are Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, Aliyu Iliyasu Abubakar, and Salisu Yusuf Majigiri.

The Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda, who was specially invited to witness the occasion, was present at the Green Chamber during the defection ceremony.

The lawmakers who cited unresolved disputes and crises within the PDP as reasons for their decision to the APC, also praised the governor’s work and President Bola Tinubu’s policies.

This recent wave of defections brings the total number of lawmakers who have switched parties this week to 11, as the House resumes.
