S/East Will Deliver 70% Of Their Votes To PBAT- Kalu

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, says that the South East will deliver over 70% of their votes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

Kalu cited President Tinubu’s creation of the South East Development Commission as a reason for the region’s support.

The commission was established to address development issues in the Southeast, a promise made to the region after the civil war in 1970 that was not kept until now.

Speaking during a grand reception in his honour by the Atuma Grace Movement, In Ntalakwu, Ikwuano local government Area of Abia State, Kalu said the people of the Southeast will continue to support Tinubu’s administration.

He also received several notable figures who defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress from other parties.

Reacting to the public outcry that the authorities in Abia are restricting the traditional rulers from engaging with some government officials of Abia extraction in their various localities, Kalu said the development is not reflective of true governance and the wishes of the people.

Earlier in his remarks, the host, Chief Emeka Atuma welcomed the Deputy Speaker, saying that the All Progressives Congress is waxing stronger in Abia State.
