In an effort to rid the FCT and its environs of crimes, the AIG Zone 7, Victor Olaiya has emphasized the need for synergy between security agencies and the media.
AIG Olaiya made the call when he received the Leadership of Crime Reporters Global Nigeria in his office in Abuja.
While commending the media for their relentless efforts towards ensuring a better Nigeria, AIG Olaiya pledged to develop a framework for enhanced operations that will nip crime in the bud.
“Without you how will the achievements be made known to the public, if you are doing a lot the only way the public can know that you are working is through publicity, and there you come in, definitely we will work together, as partners in progress, all hands must be on deck to ensure that we have a better and more peaceful society than we met it”.
Earlier the National Chairman of Crime Reporters Global Nigeria, Mr Tita Onyebuchi said the purpose of the visit was to foster good working relationship between the police and the media to attain a crime free society.
Mr Tita Onyebuchi promised that the group would continue to promote and support the Nigeria Police in its quest to bring absolute peace and security to the nation.
The meeting was attended by senior officers of the Zone 7 command and Executives of the Crime Reporters Global Nigeria.
