Rivers Sole Administrator Again Fails To Appear Before House Committee

The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok Ette-Ibas (rtd), has failed to appear before the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight for the second time.

The committee, chaired by the House Leader, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, was constituted to address and mediate the ongoing political crisis in the state.

The administrator had earlier requested a rescheduling of the meeting, which was subsequently fixed for Thursday, April 24, 2025, however, he did not attend the session and provided no explanation for his absence.

In response, the committee proceeded with a closed-door meeting but no official statement was issued after the session.

Speaking briefly, the Chairman noted that the committee’s work is ongoing and assured that a formal statement will be released in due course.
