Ruger Releases Sophomore Album “BlownBoy Ru”

Ruger, afro dancehall sensation has dropped his highly anticipated second studio album, BlownBoy Ru, a 13-track project showcasing his artistic evolution.

Following his viral COLORS performance of ‘Toro’, the album cements Ruger’s place as one of Africa’s most dynamic voices.

BlownBoy Ru—the successor to his 2023 debut Ru The World—sees Ruger pushing boundaries while staying true to his signature high-energy style.

In an exclusive interview, he revealed, “With my first album, I was proving I wasn’t just a hitmaker but an artist with depth. Now, I’m more confident—my lyrics, delivery, and emotions are sharper. The fire is still there, but it’s controlled, intentional.”

The album weaves through love, ambition, and celebration, blending Afrobeats, dancehall, R&B, and even Fuji influences.
