NMC Lauds PBAT, Alausa For Inclusion In TETFUND

The Director-General of the National Mathematical Centre NMC, Prof. Promise Mebine, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, for facilitating the Centre’s inclusion in the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND).

Speaking at the Expanded Management Meeting of the Centre in Abuja, Prof. Mebine said this milestone will enable the Centre to fully participate in TETFUND’s programs and initiatives, significantly advancing its academic and research activities.

He highlighted the numerous benefits the institution stands to gain from this development to include access to infrastructure development funds, research grants, scholarships, support for conference participation, publication of research journals, and capacity-building initiatives.

Prof. Mebine emphasized that the inclusion will strengthen the Centre’s core academic programs and reinforce its commitment to advancing mathematical education in Nigeria.

The NMC Chief Executive reaffirmed that this development will also enhance the Centre’s ability to deliver quality education and effectively fulfil its mandate of promoting excellence in Mathematics and the Mathematical Sciences.
