FCT Police Command Investigates Fatal Train Accident

The Federal Capital Territory FCT Police Command has launched an investigation into a fatal train accident that claimed the life of an unidentified woman along the Gwagwa-Idu railway line.

According to a statement by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the incident occurred on March 24, 2025, at about 11:00 AM.

It explains that Police officers responded to a distress call reporting an unconscious female on the railway tracks behind Zeberced Company, Idu.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless and disfigured body of a woman, believed to have been struck by a moving train.

It states that the remains were immediately evacuated to Kubwa General Hospital, where she was confirmed dead and efforts currently underway to identify her and locate her relatives.

The statement urges residents to exercise caution around railway tracks and adhere to safety regulations and calls on anyone with relevant information about the deceased to come forward.
