NBSA Appeals For Blood Donations For Karu Fire Victims

The National Blood Service Agency (NBSA) has called on Nigerians, particularly residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to urgently donate blood to support victims of the tragic fire incident that occurred yesterday along Karu-Keffi road in Abuja.

A statement by the Director General,
National Blood Service Agency, Prof. Saleh Yuguda says the devastating incident resulted in multiple casualties, many of whom require immediate blood transfusions.

According to him Hospitals and emergency response teams are working tirelessly to save lives, but an adequate blood supply is needed to boost their efforts.

The statement urges all eligible donors to visit designated blood donation centres and hospitals across the FCT for voluntary blood donations.
