The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has commended women for their invaluable contributions to society, describing them as the pillars of homes and key drivers of societal progress.
In his goodwill message marking this year’s International Women’s Day, Wike expressed deep appreciation to women, particularly those in the FCT, acknowledging their unique roles in shaping families and communities.
According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka, Wike assured that under his leadership, women in the FCT would receive the recognition and opportunities they deserve.
Highlighting their role as custodians of men and children, Wike emphasized that women’s contributions to family management and societal stability are invaluable.
He urged them to continue supporting the government, assuring them of more benefits under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“To our women in the FCT, including the Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Mahmoud Mariya, and the first female Head of Service, Grace Adayilo, today provides an opportunity to express our gratitude for your impact,” Wike stated.
He reaffirmed his commitment to improving the lives of women, recognizing them as the backbone of society and promising continued efforts to enhance their well-being.
