IWD :Women Critical To National Development- Soeaker

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen has emphasized the need to empower women from childhood, citing their critical role in national development.

In his message to commemorate the International Women’s Day by his Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Musa Abdullahi, Dr Abbas calls for women’s deployment at the forefront of developmental projects and programs.

He highlights his efforts in leading campaigns for the protection of the girl child and women’s inclusion in politics and governance.

According to him, these efforts include proposals for special seats for women in the National Assembly and state Houses of Assembly, among other gender bills under consideration.

Dr. Tajudeen pledges that the 10th House, under his leadership, will continue to pursue the course of women, empower and include them in efforts to create a better Nigeria.
