Kapital FM 92.9 The Station that Rocks!
In commemoration of International Women’s Day,The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) FCT Chapter, in partnership with the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Jabi Abuja, is offering free cancer screening services to 100 female journalists in Abuja.
The initiative which is the brain child of the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang is part of the Association’s activities to accelerate action for female journalists health care to commemorate International Women’s Day .
In an interaction the NAWOJ FCT Chairperson Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, explained that this effort aims to promote early detection and improve women’s health within the media industry.
According to Comrade Ikpang, the screening will take place throughout March, and interested female journalists are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity on a first-come, first-served basis.
I urge all interested female journalists to act swiftly, as slots are limited. This initiative aligns with the International Women’s Day 2025 theme, “Accelerate Action,” reinforcing NAWOJ commitment to women’s health and empowerment.
This collaborative effort demonstrates NAWOJ FCT’s commitment to supporting the health and well-being of female journalists in Nigeria.
