NSCDC Boss Harps On Collaboration Among Security Agencies

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi has called on officers and men of the Corps to eschew Inter-agency rivalry and embrace stronger collaboration with sister agencies to foster peace in the country.

Dr Ahmed Audi gave the advice while commissioning the newly remodelled FCT NSCDC Quarter Guard in Abuja.

“Quarter Guard is a highly regimented exercise that is precisely used to commission dignitaries during visits, this is commendable as I urge you to put it to use maximally so that the service will be portrayed in a good manner”.

The CG advised the officers to maintain the Corps’ reputation by upholding professionalism, respecting boundaries, and leveraging the knowledge and experiences of officers from established agencies.

” Don’t envy your brothers rather leverage on the experiences of officers and agencies that had been there for years and learn from them, humble yourself, don’t embarrass the Corps by ensuring you don’t intimidate anyone as accidental discharge is not acceptable according to the standard operating procedures of the Corps, ” Audi said.

He commended the FCT Commandant Olusola Odumosu for his exemplary leadership in ensuring that the Corps is strategically positioned in the territory.

The CG also commissioned the NSCDC Divisional Headquarters in Bwari Area Council to nip in the bud insecurity that had bedeveled the area.

He commended the Bwari Area Council Chairman John Gabaya for the gesture noting that it will foster better interaction with the public and provide credible information essential for addressing insecurity in the Area.

The FCT Commandant Olusola Odumosu, while commending the CG for his support, expressed his resolution to ensure the highest standard of integrity in the command.

” The Commandant General Sir, you will recall that about this time last year, you were at kwali Area council to perform the same duty you have come to do here today. To God be the glory that your tenure has always been marked by remarkable achievements in the journey so far” .

“In this job of ours where security of lives and property is our preoccupation, the importance of strengthening grassroot administrative and operational activities can not be overemphasized.”

Dr Odumosu gave assurance that the Corps would continue to work assidously in accordance with its mandate in ensuring that insecurity is reduced to the barest minimum.

The Chairman Bwari Area Council John Gabaya pledged continuous support for security agencies as well as logistics to ensure security of lives and property of citizens in the Area.
