The National
Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has appointed a new secretary, Dr Mustapha Ali.

At an event to welcome the new Secretary in Abuja, the chairman of NAHCON, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman expressed gratitude to Allah for making it possible to appoint a Secretary to the Commission, acknowledging the rigorous process involved.

He stressed the need for Dr Ali to show commitment to the demands of his office, bearing in mind the crucial role he would play in carrying out the Commission’s activities.

The Chairman highlighted Dr. Ali’s extensive experience, particularly in the Hajj industry, and his proficiency in the Arabic language, which would be essential for his duties in Saudi Arabia.

Professor Usman expressed confidence in Dr Ali’s capabilities and urged him to work diligently to enhance the Commission’s operations.

He also prayed for Allah’s guidance and support for Dr. Ali’s new responsibilities.

Also speaking, the Director in Charge of Administration, Alhaji Bukar Babagana, explained that after a rigorous selection exercise, Dr Mustapha Ali emerged as the top candidate for the position and urged him to uphold the confidence reposed in him.

On his part, Dr. Mustapha Ali expressed gratitude for his appointment and acknowledged the warm welcome from the Commission.

Dr Ali assured the Chairman and Commissioners of his commitment, diligence, and dedication to duty.

He thanked everyone who played a role in his appointment and prayed for Allah’s guidance in fulfilling his responsibilities.

The Commission had, over the years, shown commitment to excellence, teamwork, and service in the administration of Hajj operations.
