New Secretary CDCFIB To Actualize Paramilitary Agencies Mandate

The Secretary to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, Rtd General Abdulmalik Jibril, has reaffirmed his commitment towards achieving the vision and mandate of the board.

He therefore pledges to recruit and develop an efficient, effective, and ethical personnel for the Paramilitary Agencies under its purview.

He made this known when the Nigerian Legion paid him a visit in Abuja .

The Secretary to the Board who was the National Chairman of the Nigeria Legion until his appointment, thanked President Bola Tinubu for graciously considering him fit for the position.

“I take this appointment as a challenge to put in my best to uphold the vision and mandate of the Board”.

“I must say that I lack the words to express my feelings of missing you already. I am highly impressed, and I remain indebted to all of you for the recognition and farewell gift. “

He also thanked the Nigerian Legion for their cooperation during his tenure as the Chairman, which enabled him to affect the lives of families of late and retired veterans.

Retired Major General Abdulmalik Jibril stated that through his effort, retired officers who hitherto didn’t want to identify with the organisation had a change of mind and registered as members.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Major Vincent Abiola, thanked Mr President for deeming their former leader fit for the position of Secretary to the Board, stating that he can never be forgotten in a hurry due to his numerous achievements and fatherly role while he was their Chairman.

The high point of the event was the presentation of the roll-up flex banner to the new secretary of the CDCFIB board.
