House Of Representatives Passes N54.99tr 2025 Budget

The House of Representatives has passed the fifty four point nine nine trillion naira 2025 Appropriation Bill

The passage of the budget followed the presentation of the report by the Joint Committee on Appropriation, by the Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Mr. Abubakar Kabiru Bichi at plenary.

According to Bichi, the ₦54.99 trillion naira budget is structured to address key national financial commitments.

Highlights of the budget includes ₦3.645 trillion statutory transfers ensuring funding for constitutionally mandated entities.

A total of ₦14.317 trillion, was also appropriated for debt servicing reflecting Nigeria’s ongoing fiscal obligations.

Recurrent expenditure covering salaries, overheads, and government operations is expected to gulp ₦13.64 trillion, while ₦23.963 trillion is earmarked for capital projects under the development fund to drive infrastructural growth and economic expansion.
