PBAT Appoints General Abdulmalik Jibril Secretary Of CDCFIB

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Retired Major General Abdulmalik Jibril as the new Secretary to the Civil Defence Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB.

A statement by the Head of Press ,Juliet Okeh says Abdulmalik Jibril takes over from Alhaji Ja’afaru Ahmed whose tenure ended recently.

According to the statement, the outgoing Board Secretary Ja’afaru Ahmed thanked President Bola Tinubu for finding him worthy to serve .

He also appreciated the leadership of the Minister of Interior Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo stressing that through him, he was able to secure Presidential approval for some reforms which includes the independence of the Board Secretariat that allows it to recruit its staff.

Ja’afaru Ahmed however urged the staff of the Board to accord the newly appointed Secretary all the necessary support he needed to succeed.

The newly appointed Secretary of the Board, Abdulmalik Jibril expressed sincere gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the opportunity and assured the staff of his commitment to build on the laid down reforms of his predecessor.

The Chairman of the Board’s Union, Comrade Gbadamasi Saheed thanked the outgoing Secretary for his leadership qualities and pledged total support of the staff to the new secretary for seamless tenure in office.
