President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has called on Nigerians to put aside their differences and work towards the country’s common good.
He made the call during the inter-Denominational Church Service for the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebrations.
Represented by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Benjamin Kalu, the Senate President, emphasized the importance of unity, saying the blood of Nigeria’s fallen heroes is the seed of the country’s unity and progress.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary of the deputy speaker, Levinus Nwabughiogu, Senator Akpabio, urged religious bodies to promote peace, love, unity and tolerance.
He also assured the armed forces of the present administration’s commitment to their welfare, including supporting the families of fallen heroes and addressing veterans’ challenges.
