In view of the alarming increase in fake recruitment activities, the Nigeria Immigration Service , NIS , has called on the public to remain vigilant and refrain from patronising fraudulent recruitment schemes.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Service Kenneth Udo says NIS is working closely with relevant authorities to apprehend those involved in the fraudulent activities and bring them to justice.
According to the statement, the service remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity in all its operations stressing that the Comptroller General of Immigration Service, Mrs Kemi Nandap maintains that all recruitment exercises must be conducted in a transparent, free and merit-based manner.
The statement advises anyone who receives unsolicited messages or is approached by individuals claiming to represent the NIS on recruitment matters to report to the Nigeria Immigration Service through the official channels.
