The Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to enforcing the ban on tinted vehicles as part of measures to combat rising criminal activities in the region, including the menace of ‘one chance’ robberies.
In a statement by the public relations officer, Josephine Adeh in Abuja, the Command clarified that vehicles with factory-fitted tints or valid medical exemptions are exempt from the ban.
According to the Command, the crackdown on illegal tinted vehicles is part of broader efforts to enhance the safety and security of residents across the FCT.
While acknowledging that the measures might cause some inconvenience, the Police emphasized their importance in curbing criminal activities and safeguarding lives and property.
Residents are urged to cooperate with law enforcement officers and ensure their vehicles meet the prescribed requirements.
The Police reassured the public of their commitment to maintaining peace and security in the nation’s capital.
