Rangers International Renews Manager Ilechukwu’s Contract

In a significant development for Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Rangers International Football Club’s CEO and General Manager, Amobi Ezeaku, has officially confirmed the renewal of manager Fidelis Ilechukwu’s contract.

The news comes as a major boost for the club, which has been experiencing a resurgence under Ilechukwu’s stewardship. Since taking the reins, the experienced tactician has instilled a winning mentality and tactical acumen that has seen the team climb the Nigerian Premier League table.

Amobi revealed that Ilechukwu will sign a new contract with the NPFL defending champions because he keys in perfectly into the visions and plans of the club.

The Flying Antelopes General Manager also reassured the club’s fans and supporters of his dedication towards the course of Rangers Football Club, debunking rumor’s of his exit.

Amobi confirmed on Tuesday at the club administrative office in Enugu during a press briefing with Journalists on Rangers updates and progress so far.

“Fidelis Ilechukwu plans on staying. He said he is not going to any other club but pledged his commitment to the vision of the club.

“It is important I say it here, it has not been up to twenty-four hours since he sat here and told me, boss, am not living; He told me clearly, but he said I have to promise him am staying and I have made a promise to you people, if God keeps us alive, I am staying.”

He further highlighted that the former Plateau United Heartland gaffer, who signed for the club in July 2023, is a coach who understands how to encourage young players.

“Like Uwumiro Frank, who was first written off in his first game in Jos last year, right now, Frank is among the best five strikers in the league and in the next six months, Frank will rule Africa. Look at Kazeem and Saviour; this is all because of Fidelis mindset.”

With the renewal of Fidelis Ilechukwu’s contract, Rangers International Football Club has taken a significant step towards securing its future success. The experienced manager has proven his ability leading Rangers to 2023/2024 NPFL title.
