The National Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Chief Major Gilbert Agbo has denied the purported suspension of Kano State Secretary to state government, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi and the commissioner of transportation, Alh Mohammed Digol.
This is contained in a statement signed by him in Abuja.
The statement describes the action as an exercise in futility, carried out by ghost members of the party.
It says the party rejects the suspension of the duo for attempts to promote and uphold the party’s principles of fairness, justice, equity and zero tolerance for god fatherism.
“The national leadership urge the public to discountenance the purported ongoing suspensions in Kano state by one unknown Hashimu Dogunruwa, a kwankwassiya state chairman who is parading himself as the state chairman of our great party” he adds.
“The position of the party is that Senator Kwankwaso’s only right is to authocratically suspend the duo from kwankwassiya movement (if they are members) and not from NNPP where he is not a member” Dr. Agbo states.
”The duo are law abiding members of our great party working assiduously for the development of the state even though, the state governor is under suspension which is yet to be lifted by the party”.
“Bichi is one of our most committed members, a dedicated and financial member who was our senatorial candidate in the last general election”.
The statement therefore, urges NNPP faithfuls not to allow the devilish plot against the party to succeed, saying that they have long scuttled his plans to destroy the party.
