The House of Representatives has urged the federal government to complete the construction of Dasin Hausa Dam in Adamawa State to mitigate against the annual flood disaster that has always resulted in the destruction of lives and property.

The House, in an urgent motion of public importance by the House minority leader, Kingsley Chinda, also called for legislative solution to the annual Flood Disaster

According to Mr. Chinda, the construction of Dasin Hausa Dam, would serve as a buffer to the overflow of the Lagdo Dam, there by minimizing the damage being experienced every year as a result of flood disaster.

The House also called on the federal government to capture the completion of the Dasin Hausa Dam in the 2025 Budget as a way of addressing the yearly flood menace, which has subjected many Nigerians to untold hardship.

Mr.Chinda also urged the Green Chamber to investigate the agreement between the Nigerian government and the Cameronian government on solutions to mitigate against the impact of the Ladgo Dam in Nigeria

Adopting the motion, the House referred the matter to the relevant committees for further legislative actions.
