Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, has expressed deep sadness over the tragic death of Alhaji Isa Muhammad Bawa, the District Head of Gatawa in Sokoto State, who was killed by kidnappers.
The traditional ruler was abducted along with his son on July 29 reportedly died in captivity.
In a statement by the Senior Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdulahi Krishi, Dr. Tajudeen condemns the kidnapping as barbaric and the treatment of the late Sarkin Gobir as inhuman.
He also describes the persistent kidnapping for ransom in the country as unacceptable.
The Speaker extends heartfelt condolences to the family, the Gatawa District, and the government of Sokoto State, praying for Allah’s mercy and Jannatul Firdaus for the deceased.
