Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, will host a town hall meeting with Nigerian youths at the National Assembly on July 31.
In a statement in Abuja by the Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdulahi Krishi, the meeting aims to promote youth engagement and inclusion in governance, aligning with the Legislative Agenda of the 10th House.
According to him, the town hall meeting, organized in conjunction with YIAGA Africa and Konrad Adenuer Stiftung (KAS), will bring together youth leaders, students, professionals, and representatives from civil society organizations focused on youth development.
The meeting provides a platform for direct dialogue, allowing young Nigerians to express their concerns, share ideas, and engage with legislative leaders on matters affecting their lives and future. It will also bridge the gap between policymakers and the younger generation.
“The Legislative Agenda of the 10th House recognizes the significant youth population in Nigeria and emphasizes the importance of harnessing their potential to address various issues.
“By creating frameworks and policies that encourage active youth involvement in political processes, the House aims to ensure that young voices are heard.
“Through dedicated efforts to integrate youths into the political landscape, the 10th House of Representatives seeks to empower the next generation, driving innovative solutions that reflect the needs and aspirations of Nigeria’s young population.”, the statement adds.
