The National Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has joined President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to appeal to those planning for protests to shelve it and have confidence that the administration will address most of the economic challenges confronting the nation.

The National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Bashiru stated this after a meeting at the National Secretariat in Abuja.

The leadership of the party stressed that since the handing over in 2023, there are some economic challenges confronting the country which President Bola Tinubu is gradually addressing by impliementing policies that would in the future bring refief to the citizens.

The APC National Working Committee noted that most of the economic challenges are also affecting other countries globally, which can only be addressed through brain- storming.

The party explained that some of the issues highlighted by the protesters are political, while others are constitutional matters that will be addressed through constitutional amendment, which is currently ongoing at the National Assembly.

The party therefore, urged those planning the protests to have confidence in the President’s unrelentless efforts in repositioning the country, assuring Nigerians that the challenges would soon be over through joint efforts.

They also urged parents to monitor their children and wards to avoid being used in causing chaos in the country.

The APC National Working Committee reminded the protesters that one of their agitations was the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu which is a constitutional matter stressing that the President is not holding him but the Constitution of the country.
