NPFL 2024/25 Season To Kick Off On August

The 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League season will kick-off on Saturday, August 31.

This was disclosed on the official Twitter handle of the league saying that “next season will kick off on August 31, 2024 – NPFL chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye.”

With the 2023/24 season ending last weekend with Enugu Rangers claiming the coveted title and N150m prize money.

The Flying Antelopes claimed the NPFL title for the eighth time with Remo Stars and Enyimba finishing in second and third positions respectively.

Rangers and Remo Stars will play in the CAF Champions League next season, while Enyimba will represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Nigeria National League welcomed Sporting Lagos, Doma United, Heartland, and Gombe United after their relegation from the top tier.

Ikorodu City, Beyond Limits, Nasarawa United and El-Kanemi Warriors earned their spots in the NPFL.
