HOR Mourns Customs Officer Who Died Today At NASS Complex

The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS official who passed away today during an engagement with a House Committee at the National been identified as Mr. Essien Etop Andrew, Deputy Comptroller of Finance Administration and Technical Service.

While fielding questions from the House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts, Chaired by Mr Bamidele Salam Mr. Andrew suddenly slumped and was rushed to the National Assembly Clinic, where he was pronounced dead.

The House of Representatives has expressed sadness and regret over the incident, with the Speaker describing the late Deputy Comptroller as a dedicated public servant.

Despite efforts of first responders and medical personnel, Mr. Andrew succumbed to his health complications.

The House of Representatives extends its condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased and recognizes his significant contributions to the NCS and the nation.

The House is cooperating with relevant authorities to ensure all necessary protocols are followed and is ready to support efforts to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
