Lawmaker Commends Armed Forces For Successful Operations

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Defence, Mr. Babajimi Benson, has commended the Armed Forces of Nigeria for their remarkable achievements in recent operations across the country.

In a statement by Babajimi Benson in Abuja, the Lawmaker highlights the successes recorded to the bravery, professionalism and unwavering commitment of military personnel in safeguarding the nation

Benson notes the numerous victories against insurgents, bandits, and other criminal elements, emphasizing the resilience and sacrifice of the men and women in uniform.

He praises the strategic prowess of military leadership and the dedication and bravery of soldiers, airmen, and ratings.

The Chairman notes the significant blows delivered by troops under the Multinational Joint Task Force, MNJTF against terrorist groups in the Lake Chad Region, the intensification of efforts against IPOB/ESN in Abia State, and the discovery and deactivation of an illegal refining site by the Nigerian Navy in Bayelsa State.

He also commends the Nigerian Air Force’s airstrikes in Katsina State, which resulted in the elimination of over 80 terrorists.

Therefore Benson assures the Armed Forces of the House of Representatives’ unwavering support, promising to provide necessary resources and support to enhance operational capabilities.

He also urges citizens to continue supporting and appreciating the Armed Forces, acknowledging their sacrifices and contributions to national security, and to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies to ensure a safer and more secured Nigeria.
