Niger state police command has deployed adequate personnel to strategic public places to safeguard lives and property.

The measure is part of efforts at ensuring a hitch free democracy day celebration and the planned protest of ‘Hungry and Angry’ in the state.

Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman charged residents to be law abiding and follow the path of dialogue and consultation in addressing their grievances instead of resorting to self help.

The Commissioner of Police however warned parents and guardians to caution their wards against any act that could cause breach of public peace before, during or after June 12.
