Citizens Advised To Be Patient In Efforts To Revamp Nig

The present administration has been urged to intensify more efforts in ensuring industrialization of the nation to better the lives of the masses.

An aspirant for the position of Director General of Amalgamated All Progressive Congress, APC, support group, Dr. Salman Akorede stated this while featuring on “Politics Today” a Kapital Fm current affairs programme in Abuja.

Dr. Akorede who said President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s one year in office is commendable appealed to Nigerians to be patient and support the Renewed Hope Agenda for rapid development of the country.

Dr. Akorede who said that out of the twenty five years of unbroken democracy, President Tinubu has spent just a year, stressed that government is continuum hence Nigerians have to to be patient and join hands with him to build the nation.

“I applaud the President’s boldness and commitment, we must be patient with the president’s initiatives because for anything good we must learn to endure. Endurance in term of when you want something you have to get something, you want a better Nigeria, you have to work for it” Dr. Akorede added.

Dr. Akorede urged the government to close the gap between it and the governed by involving them in its programs.

Contributing on the programme, a political Analyst, Mr Vincent Bakare, emphasized the urgent need for the government to reduce suffering of the masses by bringing down prices of goods and services to put smiles on the faces of masses.

Mr. Bakare who said the President in the last one year has done well in office, however expressed regret that the common man on the streets is yet to feel the impact because the prices of basic amenities had gone up.

“The basic items depends on fuel prices, a woman in the farm, the man in the house, companies, factories all rely on fuel but what we are having today, they are not too happy over the situation of what is going on right now in the country” he stressed.

Mr. Bakare who urged the federal government to seek ways of improving the economy commended the President’s courage in extinguishing the power that be in certain sectors of the economy.

“Particularly i am talking about the issue of fuel Subsidy. Subsidy has been a major problem in this country for many years with uncountable cabals that have been making money at the expense of the common man on the Street” he emphasized.

He also applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the foreign exchange intervention because the economy on the foreign aspect has improved tremendously.

On his part, another guest on the programme and member, APC almagamated support group, Mr. Olusola Orelaja who noted that it is not easy to manage the nation commended President Tinubu’s administration for the tough decisions and policies taken to put the nation on the right footage.

He stressed that the policies of the President has shown that he is convinced with what he wants to do for remarkable changes and sustainable development in the country.

Mr. Orelaja who explained that despite some achievements recorded by the Present administration, Nigerians can’t feel it because of hunger in the land appealed to the government to reopen her land boarders to enable food come into the country.

A caller on the programme from Bwari, FCT Mr. John Kolobus stressed that for the nation to overcome food shortage bedeviling the country, the government must take urgent steps in reopening the land boarders.
