Clean Energy Drive : Tinubu To Commission NASENI CNG Training Centre

President Bola Tinubu is to commission the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI, Compressed Natural Gas, CNG, filling, conversion and reverse engineering Training Centre this week.

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Agency, Mr Khalil Suleiman Halilu while briefing newsmen ahead of the commissioning, explained that the “all in one training center” is designed to accommodate the conversion of fuel cars into the CNG use, thereby reversing engineering.

According to Mr Halilu, the initiative is expected to reduce vehicular emissions, contribute to cleaner air and a healthier environment, towards building sustainable energy alternatives for a cost effective, energy ecosystem.

Mr Halilu said the stride marks another NASENI milestone in its commitment to supporting the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The CNG Conversion and Training Centre, is a state-of-the-art facility that is being championed by NASENI in collaboration with Portland Gas Limited.

The filling, training and conversion centre aimed at building local capacity in CNG technology, is equipped with the latest technology and trained staff to ensure safe conversions and provision of green energy solution.

“It will offer comprehensive training programmes for technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders, fostering domestication of expertise in CNG systems and promoting the adoption of green energy solutions across the nation”.

“The CNG Centre underscores NASENI’s unwavering commitment to development of home-grown technological and manufacturing capabilities”.

“At NASENI, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and providing affordable, eco-friendly fuel alternatives to Nigerians”, Halilu assured.

Responding to question on affordability and sustainability, Mr Halilu said Government will do it best to make this innovations affordable as well as using PPP to be able to sustain and extend the service across the federation.
