New FRSC Boss Commits To Effective Road Management

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Shehu Mohammed says his administration’s Policy Trust is to reposition the Corps towards ensuring effective road management in the country.

Shehu Muhammed who stated this during his maiden address to Officers and Men of the Corps, at the FRSC headquarters Abuja, said the new management would raise the bar to meet global best practice.

He said the Four policy trusts were focused on repositioning FRSC’s operations through digital transformation, training, strategic partnership and stakeholders engagement as well as discipline and welfare.

The FRSC Boss warned those in the habit of assaulting Marshals on patrol to desist as the Corps would no longer tolerate such an act.

Shehu Mohammed also stressed the need for Officers and Men of the Corps to always imbibe professionalism in their conduct.

He assured that the Corps would soon commence harmonization of rank structures and increase number of slots for further studies.

According to him, provision of conducive working environment and additional staff buses for personnel at all formations will be given special priority.

He thanked President Bola Tinubu for appointing him as Corps Marshal and pledged to stop carnage on the highway.

He assured that the Corps under his leadership would build on the achievements of his predecessors.

The New Corps Marshal earlier inspected a colourful parade of One Hundred and Ninety Seven officers which signalled his official assumption of duty.
