With the mission to drive economic development by promoting, managing and investing in real sector and service projects that maximize stakeholder’s value, the Benue Investment Property Company BIPC has launched four companies in Makurdi, Benue State Nigeria.

These were the BIPC Bakery, A Water Factory, and the unveiling of its flagship products: BIPC Bread, BIPC Water, Emperor Fertilizer, and innovative Motorcycle Hire Purchase Scheme.

In a welcome address, Dr Raymond Asemakaha, the BIPC MD said

The BIPC Bakery and Water Factory are strategic short-term initiatives designed to provide high-quality products that meet the needs of our people, create employment opportunities for our youth, and contribute to the overall economic growth of Benue State.
Our BIPC Bread is freshly baked daily, using only the finest and most wholesome ingredients, while our BIPC Water undergoes a rigorous filtration process to ensure purity and freshness.
In line with Your Excellency’s vision to empower Benue farmers and boost agricultural productivity, BIPC has established a state-of-the-art chemical fertilizer blending plant.

In his keynote address, the Benue State Governor, Rev. Dr. Hyacinth Alia said “My administration is committed to reviving moribund industries and establishing new ones to improve the economic development of our state. We will continue to work tirelessly to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and provide opportunities for our citizens to prosper. To this, we have introduced one stop shop, for ease of doing business”

He further went on to commend the BIPC with a promise “my government will support BIPC with an equity stake to float the state’s Brewery and establish a juice factory in the state. These steps are taken to ensure that our teeming youths would be gainfully employed, and our farmers have the right value for their farm produce. My administration is also working diligently to address the issue of insecurity, creating a conducive environment for investors to invest in our beloved state. To this end, we have put in place modalities to launch a security outfit that will complement the efforts of existing security agencies, ensuring the safety of lives and property. As an incentive, we are offering tax holidays to investors who are willing to invest in the state or already doing business in the state. Additionally, we have embarked on a massive road construction project to improve accessibility and enhance business activities.

Asemakaha further said the BIPC requires at least N27 billion to build its proposed 30 new industries in four years.
The factories and products were commissioned by the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Dr. Hyacinth Alia.

Dr. Asemakaha said “BIPC needs liquidity of not less than N7 billion to stabilize and drive the industrial revolution that we are currently working on to revamp and build a minimum of 30 industries within the first 4 years of this administration with job creation of over 1 million,” directly and indirectly.

The BIPC MD also indicated that these projects collectively would catalyze economic stimulation, job creation, and value addition within Benue State.
