House Summons NSA Over Faulty Presidential Aircrafts

The House Committee on National Security and Intelligence has summoned the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to explain circumstances surrounding the Presidential Aircrafts that made President Bola Tinubu to board a Commercial flight and Vice President Kasim Shettima to abort his trip.

At a news briefing in Abuja, the Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Ahmed Satomi who said the situation was s National embarrassment, said huge sum of funds have been budgeted and approved in many occasions to ensure efficient and quality service delivery of the nation’s Presidential aircrafts.

Alhaji Satomi, explained that at this 21st century the nation is still battling to maintain the Presidential Aircrafts when other countries of the world have gone far beyond this level.

The Chairman House Committee on National Security and Intelligence emphasized that subjecting the Calibre of a President and Vice President of a Sovereign Nation like Nigeria to a Chartered flight is a National Security threat which should be avoided.

Alhaji Santomi said the 10th Assembly would continue to support President Tinubu’s led administration to bring the desired Socio-economic development.
