House Adjourns Plenary In Honour Of Late Dogonyaro

The House of Representatives has adjourned its plenary session for Tuesday the 14th of May to pay tribute to the late lawmaker, Isa Dogonyaro from Jigawa State, who represented Babura/Garki Federal Constituency.

Speaker of the House, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, who announced the lawmaker’s death, which occurred on Friday, May 10th, at the age of 46 during a brief illness in Abuja paid tribute to Mr. Dogonyaro’s dedication to his constituents and the country at large.

Following the tribute, the House adjourned plenary until Wednesday, May 15th, after a motion by the Chairman of the House Committee on Rules and Business, Francis Waive.

This marks the third loss for the House in recent times, following the passing of member-elect Isma’ila Maihanchi from Taraba State in April 2023 and another lawmaker, Abdulkadir Danbuga from Sokoto State in October 2023.

Until his death, Isa Dogonyaro was the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on HIV-AIDs Tuberculosis and Malaria control.
