Edo: Residents Of Adolor Decry Deplorable Roads

The people of Adolor, in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State, have appealed to the state governor, Godwin Obaseki to fix the deplorable roads in the area.

This is contained in a statement signed by the President, One Love Foundation, Chief Dr Patrick Osagie Eholor in Abuja.

According to the statement, the residents want government to intensify efforts in coming to their aid before the commencement of the wet season.

“We have continued to suffer from the government’s failure to address our urgent needs. The deplorable roads during the rainy season hampers our livelihoods, ” he adds.

“Instead of working towards improving basic infrastructure in the state, Standing behind Asuen Ighodalo as a governorship candidate and neglecting the concerns of the residents is misplaced”.

“The local government chairmen have also been derelict in their duties. Their inability to address the concerns of residents has led to growing discontent among the populace” he states.

The statement explains that the chairmen must recognize that they were elected to serve the people.

“The government must prioritize the urgent needs of its citizens, starting with addressing the dire road conditions in Adolor”.

“Furthermore, it is crucial that the government begin to work together to bring about positive change in Edo State” he emphasizes.

The statement says the people of Adolor, and Edo State as a whole deserve better.
