The Senate has passed a bill advocating death penalty for drug barons in the country.
This is sequel to the presentation of a committee report by the chairman, Senate committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, Senator Monguno Tahir on the the National Drug law Enforcement Agency amendment bill.
He said the bill if signed into law by President Bola Tinubu, would reduce excesses of drug barons and curtail crimes in the country.
Senator Tahir who said production and consumption of hard substances have been responsible for crimes in the country, stressed that the national Assembly would continue to evolve legislation for the betterment of all.
