Primate Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba wants Political office holders to concentrate on ways to address the current hyper inflation, insecurity, and economic challenges confronting the country.
Addressing newsmen ahead of the annual Abuja Diocesan Synod, Archbishop Ndukuba was sad that some leaders were putting little efforts to support the various initiatives of the federal government towards alleviating the plight of Nigerians.
Most Reverend Ndukuba said despite the huge resources available in the country, most citizens were still wallowing in abject poverty.
According to Ndukuba “We are trusting God that the triangulating hold or the siege of wickedness which have been upon this nation and her citizen, financially, physically, spiritually, economically, socially, politically and even morally will be fully addressed in such a way that both ourselves and the church will experience the power of God to set individuals, people free.”
Archbishop Ndukuba however appealed to the government to Fasttrack the process of the living wage for Nigerian workers as the current wage could no longer meet the needs of most Nigerian workers.
The Anglican Primate who said that the Church would continue to pray for the country, appealed to the government to ensure modular refineries are built to reduce the nation’s over dependent on importation of crude oil.
