Consumer Credit Scheme: PBAT’s Commitment To Better Lives Of Nigs

todayApril 25, 2024

Background

President Bola Tinubu’s approval for takeoff of the first phase of the Consumer Credit Scheme has demonstrated his commitment, to better the lives of Nigerians through people-oriented policies and programmes.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen conveyed his remarks in Abuja, commending President Tinubu for approving the commencement of the credit scheme.

He expresses satisfaction that Nigerians aiming to improve their lives now have access to credit for goods and services, with repayment terms agreed upon.

According to the Speaker, the move is in line with his October 1, 2023, message to Nigerians, in which he expresses the hope that Nigeria will be great again under President Tinubu.

“This is a laudable initiative by the president, which, I believe, will promote transparency and reduce corruption and waste within the civil service eventually, since workers will have the opportunity to get credit for goods and services.”

Describing the president’s approval as a game changer for many citizens, the Speaker says Nigerians should expect more of such result-oriented and people-centred decisions by the Tinubu-led. administration.

Dr. Abbas notes that the decision is in furtherance of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current government and congratulated Nigerians for having a leader who has their interest at heart.

He urges the citizens to take the opportunity presented by “this unprecedented initiative of the president to boost economic activities in the country.”
