The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has called on the Federal Government to mobilize all available resources and collaborate with international partners to secure the release of the remaining Chibok girls
A statement by the National Director for Education, Youth and Women Development of CAN Reverend Emmanuel Ozumba says the call becomes necessary to commit government in upholding the rights and safety of vulnerable Nigerians.
The statement maintains that the pains and anguish felt by parents of the remaining abducted girls who have endured sleepless nights filled with hopelessness are also deeply felt by CAN.
The Christian umbrella body further implodes Humanitarian organizations, the International community and well meaning individuals to join hands with CAN in advocating for the release of the Chibok girls.
“Together we can amplify our voices and exert greater pressure on the adductors to bring an end to this prolonged ordeal.”
It urges all Nigerians to stand united to lend their voices and demand immediate action from the government.
“Let us show our unweaving support for the families of the Chibok girls and demonstrate our collective determination to bring them back home to reunite with their families”.
