Sustain Lessons of Ramadan – Tinubu To Muslims

President Bola Tinubu has urged Muslims to sustain the virtues of love, charity, holiness, empathy, and perseverance that the month of Ramadan teaches.

He made the plea while observing the Eid-el-Fitr prayers at the Dodan Barracks prayer ground in Ikoyi, Lagos.

President Tinubu said that the lessons learnt during the Ramadan should not be discarded as they were expected to continue to pray for the nation and live in peace with others irrespective of religious beliefs.

He also called on Nigerians to continue to support government in its quest to reposition the country for the better.

President Tinubu appealed to Nigerians to always demonstrate love towards one another in order to promote peaceful co-existence in the country.

On his part, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hazmat called on Muslims to sustain the spirit of charity which the month of Ramadan preaches by giving to the poor and the needy.

He stressed that although this year’s Ramadan is over, Muslims faithful should not desist from showing love and care to people around them particularly, the less privileged.

He also advised Muslims in the country to always exhibit religious tolerance at all times in order to maintain peace in the country.

The Grand Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sheikh Sulaimon Abu-Nollah who took out time to pray for Nigerian leaders urged government to continue to look into means of alleviating poverty in the country .

Former Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Fashola, Principal Secretary to President Bola Tinubu, Mr. Hakeem Muri -Okunola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola and the Lagos White Cap Chiefs.
