Channel Resources To Improve Well-being Of Less Privileged- Cleric

Wealthy Muslims have been advised to channel their resources toward improving the well-being of the less privileged in the society.

An Islamic Scholar, Mallam Haruna Eze gave the advice at the twenty-twenty-four Ramadan Public lecture organised by the Afemai Islamic Movement in Abuja.

Speaking on the topic ‘The Role of a Muslim in mitigating the Current Socioeconomic Situation in Nigeria’ the Islamic Scholar said the lessons during the month should reflect in individuals’ daily activities to portray the interest of the nation through love for one another.

According to Eze “What we are able to do is to inform us as Muslims that whatever situation we find ourselves in times of peace or difficulties that we should submit to the will of the Almighty Allah.”

He is the source of peace, he is the source of ease no matter how difficult, Allah Subuana watahalla has cushioning effects for those who believe.

“The second thing and very important one is to allow wealth to circulate in the society, how do we allow wealth to circulate, those who have, should give out and give to those who do not have, give the poor, assist the poor and give to the needy. Get people out of the shackles of poverty and things will continue to be better ”

In a remark, the Chairman at the public lecture, Mallam Nasir Ozama said the organisation would not relent in promoting peaceful coexistence and religious harmony toward overcoming the challenges confronting the country.

Other speakers at the lecture stressed the need for religious groups not to relent in praying for the country and its leadership.
