The Chairman of board of the Nigeria National League, NNL, George Aluo has revealed that the league will be shown live on local TV stations starting next season.
Aluo, a former member of the NFF World Cup and Media Committee stated this on a popular administrators-filled sports platform, Sports World.
According to him, the conventional TV coverage and broadcast of the NNL are aimed at attracting more sponsors to the NNL.

“It is a gradual process. Now that we have started with “Global TV”, it can only get better. Even the NPFL found it difficult to put the games on StarTimes, but now that we have started with Global TV, we have started from somewhere.
“I am sure that with what we are doing with them, it can only get better. Maybe by next season, Nigerians will begin to see more of the NNL games on television.”
The Nigeria National League is the second tier of league football and to some, seen as the most important league in the nation, currently has 46 clubs battling for promotion to the first division.
