In a bid to develop the tourism sector in the Federal Capital Territory, the Minister, Mr Nyesom Wike, says tourism potential abounds in Abuja that could be explored by Qatar.
Wike highlighted some of the potential in Abuja when Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Nigeria, Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, paid him a working visit.
Wike expressed FCT Administration’s willingness to make land available for the development of tourism centers.
The Minister, stressed that FCTA was determined to complete the Millennium Tower and Cultural Centre, a major tourist center in the nation’s capital.

Wike also spoke on collaboration with Qatar in the area of security, to ensure safety and convenience for FCT residents.
“We want to fully complete the Millennium Tower, which is the main tourist centre in the nations capital.
“We are doing our part to change the narrative in Abuja, we are ready to collaborate in terms of security. We will make it convenient for all those that reside in Abuja,” he said.
Ambassador Ali bin Ghanem Al-Hajri, earlier expressed his country’s readiness to collaborate in the medical and education sectors.
The envoy acknowledged that Abuja was one of the largest capital cities in the world, with prospects for developmental projects.
