KOGI : New Commissioner Of Works Tasks Staff On Service Delivery

Background

The new Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Muhammed Ahovi Yusuf has charged management and staff of the ministry to remain committed and proactive in discharging their duties.

Yusuf stated this in Lokoja while addressing Staff and Management of the Ministry on assumption of office as the new commissioner.

The Commissioner who stressed the need for all hands to be on deck, emphasised the governor’s readiness to give necessary support to the ministry which is saddled with the responsibility of providing infrastructural development of the state.

Yusuf further promised to bring innovations to the ministry by creating programmes that would attract both domestic and foreign investors to the state.

He appreciated the former Governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the current Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo and the All Progressive Party (APC) for the opportunity given him to serve as a commissioner in the State.

According to him, the Executive Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is a man of development and would want to consolidate on the giant strides of his predecessor in the development of the state.

In a remark, Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Emmanuel Audu who congratulated the commissioner on his appointment also assured that the management and staff of the ministry would give the necessary and maximum co-operation in moving the ministry forward.
